...At the eleventh hour....

Its been about 3 nights that I didn't meet my wifey. Been rather busy doing up the house. doing up the wiring and lightings. At least, I can save bout $3K on wiring alone. Its been particularly hectic for me. Climbing up the ladder numerous times. My back and whole body is aching. I felt that my legs are giving way too... Been staying mostly at my mum's place.

Hmmm... a week past. Time to update on how my baby is doing...

Well, for stater, the little hero is only about 2 to 3 inches or about 5 to 7 centimetres long from crown to rump and weighs less than half an ounce or to be exact 14 grams. Even so, my litte one is busily swallowing and kicking. Every passing day more minute details start to appear, such as fingernails and peach-fuzzy hair. His/her vital organs — the liver, kidneys, intestines, brain, and lungs — are fully formed and functional, while the head is almost half the length of the entire body. The forehead temporarily bulges and sits high on the head still, but later will change into a more human-like feature.

Through ultrasound, you'd be able to see the clear outline of his spine. Spinal nerves stretch out from the spinal cord. Wifey's uterus is now the size of a grapefruit. With the help of a hand-held soundwave stethoscope, you can hear the fetus's rapid heartbeat — one expectant mother likened it to the sound of tiny horses galloping.

My wifey is coming to an end of her first timester. Soon, the morning sickness will begin to decrease. She'll begin to wonder if she's pregnant or not. Heheheh.... Nevertheless, I think, her bulging stomach will keep on reminding her that she is pregnant.
